Dear fellow students!

The election for the „Department for International Students“ in the AStA (RIS) will take place from 4 June to 6 June 2024. We call for informed participation: The RIS is the self-organised political representation of the interests of all international students (without a German passport) or with a migration background. All students to whom this applies and who are enrolled at the University of Hamburg or at the Studienkolleg can participate.

As a semi-autonomous department within the AStA, RIS International facilitates solidarity-based engagement for social, political and legal improvements and against discrimination of all kinds. There are major challenges that we deal with: from extremely rising prices, housing and job hunting to the responsibility of education and        science to overcome wars and other threats to      humanity. In RIS, students from all over the world organise themselves for social improvements, global solidarity and international understanding and create a lively culture of common education, critical engagement and solidary development! You can find out about the candidate lists on site at the General Assembly and at the RiS. Further information will be announced by the election commission. The election will take place on the basis of the RIS election regulations (see www.risunihamburg.com).

All international students and students with a history of migration from the University of Hamburg and their fellow students are eligible to vote. Proof of eligibility to vote is provided by presenting the student registration number.
